John Pinchbeck – Lead Consultant, Director

John has over 33 years’ experience working for venues, rights holders, ticket agencies and system suppliers in Sales, Marketing, Operations, Business Development & Consultancy. He has worked in the Performing Arts, Sports, Concert, Cinema and Visitor Attraction sectors across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
He started out as a Box Office Assistant at The London Palladium in 1989, before computerised ticketing systems had been introduced – navigating a wall of pre-printed paper tickets and a huge reservations book, before punching customers’ Access Card numbers into a massive PDQ machine.
He went on to work at the First Call ticket agency, the UK’s first computerised ticket agency which was a sister company to the UK’s first computerised ticketing system supplier – SpaceTime/Bocs. John quickly rose to the position of Operations Manager, looking after 120 contact centre staff selling over 2m tickets p.a. for the West End, Wembley Stadium, the Edinburgh Festival, and every major London museum and art gallery.
Whilst at First Call John worked on the launch of the News International/BT joint venture LineOne which was the first organisation in the UK to sell entertainment tickets over the fledgling internet

Armed with this knowledge and expertise, John established a specialist consultancy in 1997 that rode the wave of the first internet boom serving Clients such as ACE, SOLT, TMA, ACNI, Wembley International, Premium Television/NTL, MCC/ECB, Hong Kong Home Affairs Bureau, The Royal Opera House, The Royal National Theatre etc.
When the initial dotcom bubble burst John extended a consultancy role with the Royal Shakespeare Company into a full-time position as their Sales Manager, looking after c. 1m ticket sales p.a. across a central call centre, UK tours and London residencies.
The emergence of the Secondary Market and Dynamic Pricing caught John’s interest resulting in a position as Senior Operations Manager at Seatwave, followed by a position as VP International Business Development at TopTix. In his role at TopTix John established sales/support subsidiaries in the UK, North America, Australasia and Southern Africa.
In 2011 John established TicketingConsultancy.com, followed by a parallel Dynamic Pricing consultancy – ReVenueManagementConsultancy.com. ReVenue’s Clients included Leinster Rugby, Munster Rugby and Cirque du Soleil – resulting in a project to build a demand-based pricing system for all of Cirque’s Global tours.
John subsequently spent five years advising Lord Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Theatres Ltd., and most recently helped TixTrack Inc. to establish a UK subsidiary in the role of Director of Business Development EMEA from 2016-2022.
